At Dea’s Place, children are welcomed into a loving, comfortable home where they can feel safe, supported and truly part of the family.

Our home includes my supportive husband, Mark, my stepson Liam, who is in Grade 9, and our two little doggos, Pepper and Belle, who are very much part of everyday life around here! My grown son, Alex, still pops in from time to time to visit and say hello.

My private day home was thoughtfully designed and built to offer the best of both worlds—a cozy, home-like environment with an intentional space for learning, play and discovery. It’s a calm and welcoming place where children can settle in, be themselves and feel a true sense of belonging.

Rather than traditional classrooms separated by age, children learn, play and grow together in a mixed-age environment. Younger children learn from the older ones, older children develop patience and confidence, and meaningful relationships grow naturally—much like they do within a family.

Keeping my program intentionally small allows me to provide a warm, low-stress environment with plenty of individual attention, one-on-one time and genuine connection with each child.
